Lessons always begin by talking to the student about their musical interests and experience. From that, GOALS and MOTIVATIONS are identified. Whether the student is a complete beginner or an advanced drummer, Adam's method of teaching will always use their musical tastes/inspirations as a vehicle for learning all the following elements:

 

• Hand/foot Technique

• Time feel/time signatures

• Song learning

• Improvisation

• Sight-reading

• Music theory

• Grooves/styles of music (eg, pop/rock/jazz/funk/hip-hop)

If the student wishes, Adam is equally happy to teach any grade syllabus, and has had experience with ROCKSCHOOL, TRINITY AND TRINITY ROCK & POP.

 

Adam takes a lot of pride in that to date, 100% of his students entered into exams have passed, with either a MERIT or a DISTINCTION
